It’s time for a summer tomato takeover!

With strawberry season behind us, it’s time to focus on the other delicious red celebrity of the summer– mountain fresh tomatoes! Join us as we highlight some special tomato deals and take a look back at our recent Sweet Corn Festival.

Updates from the Farm Stand

Our tomato harvest is in full swing, with varieties available to satisfy every need. From delicious heirloom tomatoes, to cherry tomatoes bursting with flavor, and Roma tomatoes ready to make the perfect sauce, there’s a Darnell Farms tomato for every meal. These tomatoes will be in their prime for the upcoming few weeks, and we are excited to share our hard work with you! Come down to the Farm Stand and pick out the perfect tomato– or a whole basket! We are dedicated to providing local, fresh produce to our community.

We have special deals running to kick off our tomato takeover. Currently, we are offering a flash sale on our #1 grade tomatoes. These tomatoes are perfect for enjoying fresh, sliced, or on salads and sandwiches. We are also offering specials on our canning tomatoes. These are the ideal tomatoes for any canning project, including sauces, salsas, relishes, and more! Keep an eye out for more deals as the summer progresses– you never know when we might run a special flash sale. We always announce our flash sales on our facebook page so be sure to follow us there.

It’s not just tomatoes to get excited about, we also have an abundance of fresh summer fruits ready for you at the farm stand. South Carolina peaches, delicious nectarines, cherries, watermelons, and more are available daily at the stand. This upcoming week we will be running a special deal on locally grown cantaloupe. Come on down to the farm stand and take advantage of these deals– these summer fruits won’t be around forever! Many of our fruits are perfect for canning or freezing, making them ready to be enjoyed all year long.

As we take a look forward to upcoming crops, we have a variety of peppers and beans coming soon. There is still plenty of summer harvest left, and we are excited to continue offering more of your favorites. There might be something new every time you visit!

Celebrating the Sweet Corn Festival

Fourth of July weekend was full of festivities down at the farm, with smiling faces and– of course– lots of sweet summer corn! We would like to take a moment to thank everyone who came out to enjoy the weekend with us, from our amazing vendors, performers, and staff, to the guests who make it all possible. Thank you for supporting us, and for making this Sweet Corn Festival the best one yet.

The work never stops on this farm, as we begin preparations for our Pickle Fest coming up August 30th – 31st. If you or someone you know is a pickle enthusiast, check in with our socials regularly for updates on the pickle-excitement! We plan to have canned pickle competitions, demonstrations, and all varieties of pickle-themed fun. We are especially looking for pickle-themed vendors to join us for this special event.
