Welcome
Real Family Fun
on a Real Family Farm
Darnell Farms is a true agro-tourism experience for the whole family. We are in a beautiful valley along the banks of the Tuckasegee River in Bryson City, North Carolina.
We’re an active, second-generation family farm. Our farm produces 100 acres of strawberries, pole beans, sweet corn, pumpkins, squash, a variety of tomatoes and much more.
We have several festivals throughout the year. In addition, we host special events and activities for various organizations in our area. We also offer educational field trips to our farm. During our field trips we love sharing information about farm life, methods used to raise our crops, and how to be good stewards of our precious land. We even discuss the history of the lands we farm, including the ties to the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, who are literally our next-door neighbors.

Farmers Market
The heart of our farm is our year-round farmers market, affectionately dubbed the Farm Stand.
In the Farm Stand you will find seasonal produce, grown by us on the farm or by trusted local farmers. We also offer select specialty foods, such as breads, jerkys, international produce, cheeses, mushrooms, and more!
Our Farm Stand is also the home for our DreamWhip sales, merchandise, canned goods, specialty products, and indoor events!
The Farm
There is always some kind of excitement down on the farm. We host seasonal festivals, craft vendor weekends, community events, Appalachian music jams, and serve as a beautiful local hang-out.
Along our riverbank you will find playgrounds, adult-sized swing sets, and seasonal kids activities such as bounce houses, trike race tracks, and more.
The main stage, located right outside the Farm Stand, is our hub for events, music, dancing, demonstrations, and good ol’ fun.
In the spring, we host U-Pick strawberries in our expansive strawberry fields. Beginning in early fall, we open our pumpkin patch for hayrides. We offer Winter Wonderland hayrides and light displays through November and December.
No matter what time of year, there is sure to be something fun at the farm!
